Awesome sushi, great prices! We were so hungry we had to dive in early before taking a picture! The favourite rolls for us were the original yam roll and the salmon roll, also great agedashi tofu! We ordered ahead for take out, it was ready exactly when they said! Will return.

I've lived in Comox for about 3 years, and have eaten at just about every sushi place in the valley. I can't really say I've had a bad experience at any of them, but Sushi Kobo is the one that keeps me coming back every time. They have great food options, generous portions, lower prices than most, and a truly authentic vibe that sets it apart from the rest. The family that runs it is incredibly kind and welcoming. They remember their regular customers, and go out of their way to make every meal perfect. When you think of a local business worth supporting, Sushi Kobo should be high on your list. It's not only my favourite sushi place, but it's also my top choice for takeout of any kind. I like to try different menu items from time to time, but I get the chicken karaage with just about every order. Their rolls are all fantastic, and some of the more exotic options are surprisingly good. I'd say their spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls are personal favourites. When I'm feeling more like soup, the chicken udon is my go-to. I could go on about just about every item on the menu, but I'll just say that nothing I've had from Sushi Kobo has ever been disappointing. They clearly put time and care into everything they make. If you're ordering on a busy night, be prepared to wait. This isn't a huge chain restaurant that has an army of chefs out back. It's a family-owned and operated restaurant where each dish is made to order with care. When you call in with your order, they will give you an estimate of when it will be ready, and they're usually right on time, give or take 5 minutes. No matter the wait, it's always worth it. Give Sushi Kobo a try, and you'll quickly understand why it's my favourite.
Best place to get sushi in Comox. Authentic Japanese cuisine and wild fish is served here. Take out recommended but you can eat in. The staff are helpful and the atmosphere is small town cozy. Check out their Instagram for updates. Probably the best you will have in comox for sure.
